The article written by Richard pain really caught my attention in how we prioritised our money in 2008-2009 on things like the military and to fight a war in afghanistan. The author believes that one of the biggest reasons why the global crisis occurred was because the terrorist attacks on the US. Really lost track of the little things we take care of each and everyday. The article suggests that one of the 5 causes was deregulation of banks. Rich Americans were investing money in other countries with no regulation making them stronger and us weaker. The reaction to the global financial crisis was to make our economy strong first.
